LACTOPHYT is a feed supplement intended to neutralize the accumulated acidity in the muscular system. LACTOPHYT is a feed supplement containing sodium citrate. During work, such as racing, body acids are produced, as a normal bodily function.
e process can become a problem when energy is produced hypoxia (in the absence of oxygen), and the accumulating acid causes a progressive decline in the body pH such that the muscles begin “tying-up” and the horse in unable to run-on. LACTOPHYT helps maintain the body’s natural defense mechanisms including ushing of waste in the urine to protect against the “tying-up” syndrome.
Vitamin B1 is essential to the nutrition of the nervous system, muscles and glands. It intervenes in the metabolism of carbohydrates during muscular contraction. Its de ciency causes an accumulation of toxic waste, causing important central nervous system disorders.
Vitamin B5 (calcium panthotenate) inter- venes in the synthesis of the long chain fatty acids, employed to reduce the level of lactic acid and to increase the e ective use of oxygen.

LACTOPHYT peut être distribué tous les jours, à raison de 30 ml par jour. Dans certains cas, on distribuera LACTOPHYT juste avant un effort important, à raison de 60 ml, directement dans la bouche. En entretien : 30 ml par jour. Horses in training may be given 30 ml daily, routinely mixed in their feed, normally in the evening. In certain cases, an amount of up to 60 ml may be given directly over the back of the tongue, just before hard work or racing. Maintenance: 30 ml per day. |
